Early Thursday  morning reports of an attack on a Female Student in the “Girls Bathroom” at Howard High School in Wilmington, Delaware started pouring in.

According to ABC News the attack led to the death of one of the student’s involved.  As of now there’s been conflicting reports as to what transpired at 8am that morning that led to the death of 16 year-old Amy Inita Joyner-Francis.  While some student’s believe it had something to do with a boy,  but a close friend of Amy said that she told her it had nothing to do with a boy;  That Joyner-Francis implied she intended on settling beef with the two girls who are now being held for questioning in surrounding the event’s that lead up to Amy’s death.  As of now neither girl who’s in police custody has been charged.  Of course their names aren’t being released because of there age.

A witness who was in the bathroom at the time of the fight says,  Amy slipped &  hit her head on the sink,  which then resulted in her falling unconscious.

“She was fighting a girl and then that’s when all these other girls started banking her – like jumping on her,” the student said.

I’m saddened about the loss of life, its important parent’s take more time to speak to there children about “Actions & Consequences”.  I’m tired of seeing today’s Youth killing each other over frivolous and  meaningless things that wouldn’t even make a dent in what they have to face outside of high school when they graduate into todays society.  It’s a lesson learned for your child if there was ever a moment to teach it.  We send our Prayer out to the Family of Amy Joyner-Francis and hope that healing and peace find you.
