This weekend a senseless act in a rush to judgement took the life of Jordan Edwards a a 15-year-old student from the suburbs of Dallas.  Edwards an ordinary, Straight A student with no disciplinary issues and who was loved by all in his family & community.

Jordan will surely be missed by all and the actions the Balch Springs Police Chief took this week is a step in the right direction.  Especially when it comes to the family getting the Justice they deserve.  Because now it shouldn’t be hard to come for him criminally or civilly.

The Balch Springs, Tex., police officer who shot and killed Jacob Edwards, a 15-year-old black high school freshman, has been fired after an internal affairs investigation concluded he violated multiple department policies, officials announced Tuesday night.-Washington Post
Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathan Haber told a news conference the video contradicted an earlier version he had released of the events where he said the car was in reverse and heading toward the officer.
Haber told reporters he released the mistaken information based on an account given to him by the officer and that the video recording showed the car was moving away.
The Edwards family said in a statement it wanted the officer to be arrested for murder.Source.
