Criminal Charges have been filed against 3 Female Teens responsible for the death of fellow classmate & student Amy Joyner-Francis following a fight in their schools bathroom.
The Delaware Community that surrounds this tragic story has been put at ease with the charges that finally came forth, just weeks after the death of student Amy Francis-CHILD DEAD AFTER FIGHT IN SCHOOL BATHROOM.
The results from the Medical Examiners office is what delayed charges being pressed and with those being released this past week is what prompted the charges below. The examiner came back with the determination that Amy died from a cardiac incident that she was vulnerable to because of a pre-existing heart condition. Now what put the nail in the coffin for the 3 girls involved is the medical examiners belief that the cardiac incident wouldn’t have occurred if Amy had not been assaulted.”
FYI: Names have been withheld due to the age of the offenders.
The DOJ pointed out that Delaware law does not allow for a charge of conspiracy to commit negligent homicide; So in the case of 2 the teens who participated they’ll be charged with third degree criminal conspiracy. 3rd Degree is the highest level of criminal conspiracy allowed by law, given the facts of the case. They’ll both be charged as juveniles with a maximum sentence of up to a year in prison.
When it comes to the teen girl who struck the blow that killed Amy Joyner-Francis, he’ll be tried as an adult because of the severity of the offense and if convicted could face up to 8 years in prison.
I say that these young women deserve whatever sentence that is required by law, if it were my decision they’d get life, considering they were responsible for taking one. I wouldn’t go as far as the death penalty. Their lucky they’re in Delaware because if they were in Texas who’s to say how many year’s they’d be facing. Prayers and thoughts go out to the Joyner-Francis family and may your road to Justice be swift and relieving. I know it wont bring back your beautiful, spirited little girl,, but hopefully this story dissuaded another death over something so trivial.
Parent I encourage you to talk to your children about consequences and how to avoid being in situations that can cause them harm, death or incarceration. I always prepare myself mentally for what could happen, I purposely stay 3 steps ahead of myself as to keep in mind anything can happen.
